Encapsulating a plug of massive, yet sugary, white quartz, are a number of bladed crystals of dark sky blue kyanite, to 12 cm in length (mostly complete, too!). The crystals are extremely lustrous and at their edges, translucent. The crystals exhibit crudely formed terminations which are so common in kyanite. But as a cluster, there is a nice overall aesthetic to the piece for one so large
