Item Description

An unsually aesthetic group of Kyanite crystals from the famous Barra de Salinas District in Brazil. Typically, the Kyanite specimens from this locality are found and rather flat, single or parallel groups of crystals on or off matrix. RARELY does one find such an attractive and three-dimensional group of criss-crossing prisms like this piece. The beautiful blue color of the crystals, along with their slight translucency and decent luster makes the piece a worthwhile, full cabinet sized display specimen. Lastly, there are some unidentified reddish-brown crystals on one side of the specimen (possibly Staurolite?). Valued at $1200-$1500 retail for the size, quality and great aesthetics.
