Item Description

This locality is probably best known for its Starolite and Kyanite specimen. This particular specimen features a few, translucent, pale grey-blue to blue Kyanite crystals sitting on schist with associated reddish-brown Starolite, creating a CLASSIC Swiss specimen from a famous locality. A highly representative piece for the species and locality. The largest Kyanite crystal measures 3.2 cm. From the collection of Colorado collector, John Arnaud with labels from John Betts and John Albanese.
