Kyanite

This gem is rarely seen in faceted stones from anywhere in the world let alone in such a rich color. Kyanite is an exceptionally rare stone mostly occurring in Brazil as included pale blue to colorless gems. This stone is from Nepal of all places and is a good Sapphire Blue color, and one of the better for Kyanite that I have offered in a while. This "Cushion Cabochon" cut gem has a unique deep blue color and is translucent for all intents and purposes. These stones are becoming very difficult to find in today's market, and stones over 2 carats (let alone a stone nearly 10 carats!) are even harder to obtain.
