Kyanite

This gem is rarely seen in faceted stones from anywhere in the world let alone in such a rich color. Kyanite is an exceptionally rare stone mostly occurring in Brazil as included pale blue to colorless gems. This stone is from Nepal of all places and is a good Sapphire Blue color, and one of the better for Kyanite that I have offered in a while. This "Marquise Cabochon" cut gem has a unique deep blue color with a lighter grey-green-blue color on the side of the stone. The stone is gem quality and the color is pretty good for the material. These stones are becoming very difficult to find in today's market, and stones over 2 carats (let alone a stone over 10 carats!) are even harder to obtain.
