A unique thumbnail example of kyanite, not a mineral species we often see in sophisticated collections because, simply put, most of them are just boring and all look the same as singles or messy clusters. THIS, however, is different - a kyanite cross of blue semi-transparent blades, refined and elegant. It may be the only kyanite thumbnail I have ever paid attention to, of the blue variety. While common, true, this one stands out and makes it one of those surprising specimens in a fine thumbnail suite to represent a breadth of having what might be a normally below the radar species. Purchased from Vasconcelos of Brazil. Unique, 3-dimensional, complete all around as it seems to be a floater with all terminations intact!
