Item Description

A really attractive small cabinet display specimen of soft pink colored Kutnohorite from the famous Wessles Mine featuring micro crystalline aggregates which have formed an odd-shaped "cast" after an unknown mineral. There are hollow cavities that can be seen on the underside of the piece, which have taken a flowing almost ethereal shape that doesn't really resemble any mineral species. There honestly are not many defined geometrical angles or faces that can be seen, so it appears that the Kutnohorite has replaced an amorphous mineral. Very attractive in person, and certainly a rarity in terms of form. If you collect carbonates, South African material, or specifically minerals from the Wessels Mine, don't miss out on this one.
