Item Description
The Wessels Mine of South Africa has probably produced the world"s finest specimens of kutnohorite and this is an excellent CABINET example. Parallel-growth bundles of two generations of kutnohorite, pastel-pink overlain by snow-white kutnohorite blades form an exceedlingly sculptural, curved specimen. The central diverging column on either side is particularly striking. Very uncommon for the locale quartz crystals are concentrated or scattered on both sides. Interestingly, only the snow-white kutnohorite has moderate pink fluorescence!! Valued $500-700 for quality, size and uncommon association. Try to find another like it.
