Item Description
A beautiful, truly sculptural specimen with finely filigreed, radial divergent crystals of pastel pink Kutnohorite in curving botryoids twisting upon each other. This is a very dramatic example of this style as the photos convey! This piece is simply labeled as Kutnohorite, but there is usually some Manganocalcite mixed or interlayered as well (its a series) in the underlying, less crystallized platelike layers upon which the finely filigreed crystals rest. Even the underside of this piece is sculptural and interesting - displaying its banded nature. A really fun large miniature specimen to look at and hold. Probably from the classic finds here of the 1980s and early 1990s
