Item Description

Spherical aggregates, composed of divergent, acicular, crystals of kutnahorite to 1.5 cm across, have formed into a crystalline nodule that looks like a piece of living coral! This is a rare and beautiful habit for the species, circa the early 2000's (Ed bought this direcly from South African dealer Clive Queit at a Tucson show, just after it was newly found; and as I recall it was one of the top pieces on display in the booth that year). The spheres are lustrous with sparkling small terminations and exhibit a lovely, rich pink color. Ex. Dr. Edward David collection. Valued $1800-2000
