Kupletskite-(Cs) (ridiculously rare)

Here we have a tremendous rarity from the Dara-i-Pioz Massif in Tajikistan. This alkali massif lies in the rugged mountains of the northern border of the country, close to Kyrgyzstan. This piece is a wonderful large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen of Kupletskite-(Cs), an incredibly rare cesium sodium manganese titanium iron inosilicate species, and part of the Astrophyllite Group, only found on TWO places on Earth. The namesake species, Kupletskite was named after Russian geologist Boris Kupletski and Russian mineralogist Elsa Kupletskaya. This piece hosts attractive, golden-brassy, pseudo-metallic foliated crystals with an adamantine luster sitting on Smoky Quartz matrix. I'm sure most of you don't have one of these in your collections, and the Dara-i-Pioz Massif is the TYPE LOCLIATY for Kupletskite-(Cs), so if you collect minerals from the type locality, this is something that is that is virtually impossible to find for sale in today's market.
