Kunzite, Morganite, Elbaite & Quartz ex Obodda

Herb Obodda has done it again with this very fine and aesthetic combination specimen from Nuristan. A gorgeous, lilac, 5.0 cm, sharply terminated, kunzite crystal is the striking and beautiful focal point of this piece. Just to the left of the kunzite termination and attached to the side is a 1.0 cm, gem, hexagonal, light blush-pink, morganite crystal. Horizontal, pastel-pink to colorless elbaites to about 1.5 cm are encircled by glassy quartz crystals to the left of the kunzite. The piece is beautifully accented with more kunzites and clusters of bladed, snow-white cleavelandite. Thats a natural fracture in the middle of the kunzite. Such combinations in this quality are just not that common from this locale and the ongoing conflict has severely limited production. The kunzite and morganite are pristine and the noted periphery wear is certainly a modest detraction to this striking combination display piece. Valued by Herb at $2200, five or more years ago.
