Item Description
A classic Kunzite from Afghanistan with a gentle lilac color and wonderful internal gemminess. The color is a bit stronger on the crystal if you look down the "c" axis of the prism, like virtually all Kunzites. Additionally, the crystal is doubly-terminated, as it was etched, but still re-crystallized "re-healed", and you can clearly see little crystal faces when you look at it with a loupe. The almost ethereal form and gemminess make this piece a great example from this most prolific gem producing region. A very attractive representation of this classic material. It's important to note that good crystallized Kunzites are literally only found in a few places on earth (Brazil, San Diego County and Afghanistan) in any real quantity. Specimen weight is 55.1 grams.
