Kunzite (excellent intense lilac color) ex Obodda

A beautiful and blocky gem kunzite crystal from recent finds at Mawi, Afghanistan. Most of the very rich lilac-colored crystal is water-clear with very high luster, with a bit being translucent. The prism faces are highly striated, while the end faces are glass-smooth. Some faces are lightly frosted. The sloped termination is partially colorless and has striking crevasses. The other termination is rolling and has a bit of cleavelandite. The crystal has gorgeous lilac color, especially evident on the C-axis shots. A striking, blocky, sharply terminated and very colorful crystal. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of contacting with no damage, per se, on the sloped termination.
