Kunzite (doubly-terminated "floater" crystal) (8.71 grams)

Item Description

A wonderful, GEM QUALITY, doubly-terminated crystal of beautiful pink Spodumene / Kunzite from Afghanistan. Not only is this specimen doubly-terminated, but it's a complete "floater" with no point of attachment. I love the fact that the piece has a pleasing combination of slight striations among the graceful etching patterns, which are highlighted by the high luster on all sides. The crystal has a light pink color when viewed on the "a" axis, but because this material is pleochroic, when viewed down the "c" axis, one can see a stronger pink hue. Everybody is familiar with Kunzite, but there truly are only a few places on earth where good crystals are found in any quantity. Weight is 8.71 grams.
