Item Description

The dramatic offset steep termination and lovely rich lilac color of the lower half of this striking large parallel-growth doubly terminated kunzite crystal make for an impressive specimen from an unknown Minas Gerais locale. The upper half of this gem crystal with striated faces and waxy luster is colorless. The steep terminations are etched/frosted. Complete all-around. One edge is contacted, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this older and very uncommon style kunzite from Minas Gerais. 170 grams mass. Comes with a Baskin & Sons label, New Jersery dealer from the mid-1960s to early 1980s. From an East Coast collection.
