Item Description

A very large, superbly-formed crystal of gemmy kunzite. You cannot ask for a sharper, more textbook termination! Rarely do they stay so pointy - most etch in situ, into lumpiness long before being collected. This tabular crystal is pink through the front and has good lilac or maroon color, as you can see in the shot where you are looking down the C axis. It is wonderfully transparent. The crystal is complete and sharp on the termination and both edges; in fact, except for one corner near the bottom where the crystal was attached to the pocket wall, it is complete on all other edges. As you can see, this is an extremely impressive gem crystal. The photos are, if anything, UNDERDONE. In person it has a pleasing pink color on the main body that does not come through well. Comes with a custom lucite base. Weighs 265 grams. Valued at $2000.
