Item Description

Kulanite is an ultra rare barium phosphate and this very rich specimen is from an uncommon kulanite locality - Stone Man Camp, Yukon, Canada. Highly lustrous, black-looking blades and smaller blocky crystals cover the plate along with a scattering of gemmy, amber siderite crystals. The blades reach 1.0 cm (very large for the locale and species) and have flashes of sage-green. Not necessarily pretty to look at, but these are large and sharp crystals for the species and locality, which makes this an excellent specimen of this rarity. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 2745 with a 1987 date. valued $200
