Krutovite (very rare)

Item Description

This very rare nickel arsenide is named for Russian mineralogist and geologist, Georgy Alexeevich Krutov. The species is only found in a handful of localities in the world. This piece is from the Teliatko serpentinite body in Slovakia. The rich blue-green hue is eye-catching and most specimens only feature tiny "spots" and not a good coverage like this piece. Pick this one up if you collect rarities, secondary ore minerals or just cool colorful rocks from around the world.
