Item Description
Krennerite is a rare gold, silver telluride and is a rare and highly desired species from the famed Cripple Creek District. Lustrous, sharp, striated, golden-silver, lathes to 7 mm are attractively scattered across the matrix. The Fioravanti Collection card says El Paso County, but Cripple Creek is in Teller County. This rare, rich and very excellent specimen is perhaps from the El Paso Mine at Cripple Creek. This could also be calaverite, which looks very similar to krennerite. Acquired by the previous owner in 1978. A must for the Colorado or species collector. Valued at $750-1000, I would think. these are simply unavailable!
