Item Description
Krennerite, a rare gold, silver telluride, is a rare and highly desired species from the famed Cripple Creek District. Lustrous, sharp, striated, golden-silver, lathes to a large 1.2 cm are richly and attractively clustered and scattered across the large matrix. A bit of knobby/casted light lavender chalcedony in one corner adds pizzazz. The Kay Robertson Collection label # 5751 says there may also be Native Tellurium and Sylvanite present. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). This rare, rich and very excellent large specimen. A must for the Colorado or species collector. Valued at $1000-1500, I would think. These are simply unavailable!
