Kovdorskite and bobierrite are ultra rare and very rare hydrated magnesium phosphates. This iron mine in the remote Kola Peninsula is the Type Locality for kovdorskite, which is UNIQUE in the world to this deposit. This exceptional plate consists solidly of glassy, ice-blue kovdorskite blades in clusters surrounded by glassy, colorless, bobierrite blades (which is also uncommon).
