Item Description
This cluster of lightly cream-colored Kovdorskite on matrix comes from the huge alkali massif on the Kola Peninsula. This is the only known locality in the world for Kovdorskite. The largest crystals average about 1.5 cm, with superb, glassy luster and partially gemmy areas. This comes from a pocket that produced exceptional matrix specimens richly covered in crystals and among the most densely crystallized examples of the species. It is quite nice for the size, and somewhat more aesthetic in person. Originally priced at $130 in the 1990s when they came out to market. Now, very scarce and hard to find!
