Item Description
Boulder Opal is one of the most distinct and popular Opal varieties in the world. Australia is obviously the prolific producer of Opals in the world, especially since such a wide array of Opals are found there. This thick "Oval Cabochon" cut stone features beautiful patches of gemmy/translucent Opal featuring flashes of electric green, blue and red hues which are sitting within dark brown iron-rich host rock. The vibrant color of the Opal against the dark background makes for a lovely gem, which would do well in a pendant or loose as a great addition to your gem collection. Priced at LESS than $2.50 per carat for the starting bid!
