Item Description
Koninckite is a fairly rare hydrated iron phosphate, and the most well known specimens come from the type locality at Richelle, Belgium or from Kociha, Slovakia. This piece is from the latter featuring off white groups of Koninckite in host rock matrix. It's a micro piece for all intents and purposes, but it looks really great under the microscope. If you collect rarities, or even more specifically, rare phosphates, you can't afford to let this one pass you by. How often are good specimens of Koninckite available on the market from any locality? Considering that the type material was discovered in 1884, there aren't many opportunities to get your hands on any European specimens.
