Kolwezite (fine quality) with Cobalt-bearing Calcite (ex Wouter Van Tichelen Collection)

Item Description

This is a stellar example of the rare copper cobalt carbonate Kolwezite from the type locality. This beautiful miniature sized specimen features many fine quality, velvety, radial groups of soft beige-olive-green Kolwezite measuring up to 3 mm sitting on a layer of rich fuchsia pink colored cobalt-bearing Calcite on matrix. Very good quality, with no real noticeable damage that I can see. These are RARE on the market, especially in this quality, and if you collect rare species or minerals from the type locality, this is a great one to add to your collection.
