Item Description
This very rare hydrated scandium phosphate (member of the Metavariscite group) is rarely found in collector quality specimens. There are not many scandium minerals in the world as it is, let alone scandium phosphates. The species was named after Dr. Friedrich Ludwig Wilhelm Kolbeck. This thumbnail sized specimen features a nicely isolated and easily eye-visible off-white colored spherical aggregate of Kolbeckite measuring approximately 1 mm on matrix.
