Item Description

Kochsandorite is an ultra rare hydrated carbonate found in coal mines and is found ONLY in coal mines in Hungary. The species was approved in 2004. A 5 mm mass of white nubby crystals is nicely set on the coal/shale matrix and with a rich peppering of smaller crusts. More, smaller pods are noted on the sides. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection.
