Item Description
Kobellite is a very complex rare Pb-Cu-Bi-Sb sulfosalt and specimens from this well-known Czech Uranium mine are rare. Lustrous steel-gray masses of tiny granules are scattered on the massive quartz matrix. This species was named in 1839 after Wolfgang Xavier Franz Ritter von Kobell of Munich, Germany. This piece comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371. The label states that the piece is from the 21st Level of the mine.
