Klebelsbergite on Stibnite (rare) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A beautiful specimen of the famous old Klebelsbergites from the Baia Sprie Mine (Felsobnya Mine) in Romania (formerly Hungary). The type locality for Klebelsbergite is actually listed as Baia Sprie. This piece features pale yellow colored coatings of Klebelsbergite sitting on silvery, prismatic, lustrous crystals of Stibnite on gemmy grey to colorless Calcite matrix. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A fantastic and hard to find example of this old material from this world-famous locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8205). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
