Item Description
Kimuraite-(Y) is a very rare hydrated calcium-yttrium-neodymium carbonate found in fissures in alkali olivine basalts. Clusters of lustrous, pastel-pink, radial lathes to 7 mm are concentrated on one corner of the basalt matrix wedge. There are a few small additional crusts on the piece, which is from near the type locality. The species was discovered in 1986. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection.
