Item Description

Kimuraite-(Y) is an ultra-rare hydrated calcium-yttrium-neodymium carbonate found in fissues in alkali olivine basalts. Lustrous, pastel-pink, radial lathes fill a 1.4 cm, well-placed vug atop the basalt matrix. There is one small additional crust on the back of the piece, which is from near the type locality. Rare and rarely on the market. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection.
