Item Description
A rare, showy and large cabinet specimen with a hummocky surface of beraunite, dufrenite and rockbridgeite(?) covered with an olive green coating of kidwellite, a rare hydrated sodium iron phosphate hydroxide from Polk County, Arkansas. This has excellent coverage of kidwellite and is a large example for the species! Tiny spherical aggregates of strengite are found locally on the piece. This is an old specimen probably circa 1960s-70s; and was collected by Al Kidwell, local Texas collecting legend (whose large collection was dispersed locally). Valued $1200-1500. Donated to the MINDAT auction by The Arkenstone.
