Item Description

Kidwellite and cyrilovite are rare complex hydrated phosphates. This rich and scuptural combination specimen is from this well-known open pit iron mine famous for numerous well-crystallized phosphates. Straw-yellow to golden-yellow cyrilovite crystals and tiny pastel yellow-green kidwellite botryoids are richly clustered and scattered on the hematite matrix. Classic, excellent and rich combination material for the locale. Ex South Australian Museum and Matioli Collections. Much more rare than the Arkansas material, named after my old friend Al Kidwell here in the USA.
