Item Description

Khaidarkanite is an ULTRA RARE copper hydroxyhalide and this showy, colorful and rich small cabinet is from the Type Locality - the Khaidarkan Sb-Hg deposit, Kyrgyzstan. A band of vibrant rich blue khaidarkanite micro-needles lies next to powder-blue chrysocolla botryoids and a bit of sea-green chrysocolla on another side. Striking, rich and pretty combination example of this very rare species. Khaidarkanite was named in 1999. Ex Fersman Museum of Moscow specimen (collected on an expedition by Dmitriy Belakovskii, who sold it to me in the early 2000's). Valued at $1250 as we have not sen such a rich piece since the early 2000's for sale with them.
