Item Description

This very rare manganese iron magnesium aluminum hydrate phosphate was named in 199 after Jurgen Kastning, an amateur mineralogist from Germany who specializes in phosphate minerals, and was the one who discovered the species. This piece is from the Type Locality and features tiny thin / bladed colorless to white crystals on marix. It should be noted that this locality is known for a variety of rare phosphate species, but it's the Type Locality for one species, Kastningite. This is the ONLY piece of this species that we've had to offer, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
