Item Description

A classic and old-time pseudomorph from the St. Austell District of Cornwall. A sharp, doubly terminated, wafer-thin, floater Carlsbad-twinned orthoclase crystal has been pseudomorphed by a super-soft mineral, kaolinite. Complete all-around, nearly pristine, except for a contacted edge, that has embedded cassiterite. Showy and excellent material from this famed locale. Valued $750-1000.
