Item Description

Kammererite (chrome clinochlore) specimens are extremely rare and are hardly ever on the market from Siskiyou County, California. Specimens from this former Cr mine are super rare. Stacked booklets of sharp, lustrous, partially translucent, magenta to reddish-brown, kammererite platelets are richly and attractively clustered on the blocky chromite ore matrix. Choice, very rare older material from this locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and formerly in the Jack Parnau Collection, according to his label. This rarity is not only rich, but is showy. Valued at $1000.
