Item Description

Kammererite (chrome clinochlore) specimens are extremely rare and are hardly ever on the market from Siskiyou County, California. Stacked booklets of sharp, lustrous, reddish-purple, kammererite platelets are scattered on the blocky matrix and are very nicely accented by sprays of yellow-green, actinolite needles and snow-white chalcedony. Choice, very uncommon combination material from this locale. The back has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Ex John White Collection and acquired from Walt Lidstrom in 1974, according to his label.
