Item Description
Kammererite is the rare, chrome-rich variety of clinochlore. There is nothing that quite matches the vivid purple-red hue of kammererite as found in a series of remarkable pockets over 20 years ago at this top locality for the species, the Kop Krom Mine in Turkey. This rich and excellent miniature hosts gorgeous, discrete, beautifully gem crystals on an earlier rich covering of gemmy microcrystals. The striking, upright, rare drill bit twin crystal is 5 mm tall. A bit of bruising is noted to the field, but all of the primary crystals are pristine.
