Kainosite - (Y), Aegirine, Quartz and Feldspar

Very unusual (we have only seen a handful of them) and quite dramatic epimorphs from Malawi. The blades range up to 3 cm on edge, with the rosette being 5.5 cm across. These are rather striking, but the question is: which mineral comes after which? Traditionally, this is thought of as Kainosite, Feldspar, and Quartz on aegirine, but there are many examples of Kainosite blades with exactly the same morphology as the underlying crystals here. So, take your pick, but either way, these are remarkable and aesthetic specimens.
