K Feldspar var. Adularia ex Obodda

Item Description

A rare and unusually fine large stacked cluster of K Feldspar variety Adularia crystals from this well-known Alpine-type deposit. The sharp, very glassy, colorless crystals are transparent to translucent. The stunning doubly terminated crystal crowning the column is 3.2 cm. Complete and pristine on three sides. The out-of-sight back is contacted. This is an exemplary example of the species and locale from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb's label lists this as microcline, but it is adularia. Valued at $750 by Herb, more than 6 years ago. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
