Item Description
A classic example of the famous Adularia specimens from the Austrian Alps. These classic and highly desirable piece are certainly among the best examples of crystallized Adularia in the world. This piece features sharp, well-formed, lustrous, tapered blocky crystals of this variety of K-Feldspar, measuring up to 1.5 cm on Feldspar matrix. My favorite aspect of the piece is that the crystals are not coated with "Chlorite", as is often the case with the material, so you can clearly see the beautiful "porcelain"-esque white hue. No major damage that I can see, but a few tiny nicks can be seen here and there. If you're a fan of Feldspars, Alpine minerals, twinned minerals or just interesting crystal morphology, do not miss out on this attractive specimen from this classic area in Switzerland.
From the collection of Gerry Morvell
