Jouravskite with Xonotlite and Bultfonteinite

A showy miniature featuring three gorgeous and rare species. Glassy and gemmy, lemon yellow Jouravskite crystals to 6 mm are perched on chalky white Xonotlite botryoids measuring 7 mm across. Another generation of small Jouravskite microcrystals sparkle as a partial coating on some of the Xonotlite balls adjacent to the larger Jouravskite crystals. There are also tight, radiating clusters of colorless Bultfonteinite crystals on one end of the specimen. Jouravskite is a very rare complex hydrated calcium-manganese sulfate-carbonate while Xonotlite and Bultfonteinite are rare calcium silicates. This piece has wonderful contrast in texture and color. It also looks fabulous with a loupe or under a scope! There was only ONE fine pocket of this material, now over 5 years ago, which we bought in entirety at the time.
