Jouravskite (very rare and fine)

This piece dates to late December 2016, when a significant discovery of the very rare calcium manganese sulfate / carbonate Jouravskite was made at the N'Chwaning III Mine in South Africa. This find yielded the finest examples of the species ever seen. It's important to note that Jouravskite has only been found in THREE other localities in the world outside of the N'Chwaning Mines, and before the 2016 discovery, specimens were virtually impossible to find on the market. This thumbnail specimen features gorgeous, strong lemon-yellow clusters of gemmy Jouravskite crystals sitting atop white Xonotlite with associated pink Bultfonteinite on minor host rock matrix. The largest Jouravskite crystal measures 8 mm at it longest dimension, which is good sized for the species. Very little damage and just gorgeous when viewed up close! There were very few specimens of this size from the find, virtually no new specimens have been found at this mine since 2016, so don't miss out on this chance to get your hands on a gorgeous specimen of this rare and striking material.
