Item Description

A specimen of "Joseite-A" or possibly "Joseite-B" from the Goodhope Mine, British Columbia, Canada. This piece features beatuiful, HIGHLY lustrous, brilliantly silvery-white, metallic hexagonal / trigonal crystals on matrix. Minor spots of Native Gold can be seen on the side of the piece as well! As of the time of this writing, it is unclear if Joseite-A or Joseite-B are actually ever going to be approved species. As of now they are questionable/doubtful species, according to the IMA. The bismuth, tellurium sulfide is named for its relationship to Joseite (same elements with different amounts) and is possibly just sulphur-rich Pilsenite. Regardless, these specimens are beautiful and incredibly rare, and eventually they will be properly identified and described, so don't miss out on this opportunity to purchase a remarkably hard to find specimen from this lesser known Gold mine in British Columbia. This is an interesting example of this unusual material, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
