Item Description

Johannsenite is a rare member of the Pyroxene Group. Specimens are very rare from the famous Wessels Mine and are EXTREMELY RARE in combination with Xonotlite, an uncommon silicate. Blue-green prisms totally cover the 3-dimensional sculptural small cabinet massive manganite ore matrix. Scattered sprays of snow-white xonotlite needles are a dramatic contrast with the tan oxide coatings. VERY RARE, perhaps unique Wessels mine combination material found before 1990.
