Item Description

Johannite is a fairly rare hydrated Copper Uranium Sulfate which is named after Archduke John of Austria (Johann von Österreich - died 20 January 1782, born 11 May 1859) who was a member of the Habsburg dynasty, and a well known mineral collector of his day. This piece features the classic electric yellow-green "balls" of this well known material on matrix. A good piece for a micro collector or a collector of rare minerals.
