Item Description
Jasper is defined as a reddish massive variety of Quartz or a siliceous Chert in some cases. It's more of a lapidary name than an actual variety. This piece features beautiful reddish-brown Jasper which has replaced a semi-radial "flower" of bladed Barite, retaining the form of the original crystals perfectly. This is an unusual old-timer miniature specimen from nearby Floy in Eastern Utah. From the collection of Richard Rossi, with an old John Betts label stating it was from the Irving Horowitz Collection (#2387).
