Item Description

The Jarosite crystals from the Verzeko Mine in Lavrion, Greece are some of the best examples of the species that you'll find. Typically Jarosite can be kind of dull and a muted mustard color, but the crystals from this locality, as seen on this specimen are notably sharp, highly lustrous and feature a rich brown hue. This small cabinet specimen is filled with dozens if not hundreds of little crystals in multiple vugs, partially covered by yellowish Natrojarosite. We've photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
